History of Animation

One of my favorite aspects about the history of Animation is how CGI was first implemented in films. The first use of 2D CGI was first used in the movie Westworld in 1973, then was followed up by the first use of 3D CGI in the sequel “FutureWorld” in 1976
Another movie to heavily invest in CHI was Starwars (1977) which used a animated 3D wire frame graphic for the trench run briefing Sequence.
3D CGI was then implemented in many future movies, such as my all time favorite Movie, Alien (1979) which also used raster wire frame rendering for some of the navigation monitors in the landing sequence of the movie.

To this day, CGI is still used as a common point in films. Allowing us to bring things never before shown on the big screens.
